The folks over in Nerf’s headquarters — a subsidiary of the large toy organization Hasbro Incorporated, have currently been extraordinarily rather busy. 2010 was a remarkable year. It presented rise to a number of fresh toy guns, by not just Hasbro, but also Buzz Bee and other toy gun designers.

Nonetheless, seeing as the Nerf business brand, happens to be associated with foam dart guns in everyday discussion, then we should certainly look at solely what they’ve unveiled at the moment. It would not be reasonable to the keen admirers of Nerf to include Buzz Bee blasters and various other brands directly into the next few paragraphs. You can pretty much guarantee we would not hear the end of it! And so, with that in mind, we will respect this elite type of fanatics, and do these people a favor by playing fair.

The end of 2009 ended up being overflowing with hype. We spotted a lot of rumors about what might be introduced to the market. Many people made videos and put them up on YouTube with what they presumed would be released. However, since the majority of these videos had been brimming with photos of the virtual blasters included in the Wii N-Strike video game; nearly all acquired skepticism for being simply hypothetical and really unofficial.

certainty was basically, that not a soul knew what was going to be circulated. That is, until official reports had been published, or once the true product popped onto retail store in other countries — which is frequently the case nine cases out of 10.

The fall of the year 2010 saw the production of the Longstrike. This toy blaster beat the size of the Longshot, which prior to the release of the Longstrike was the longest blaster at near 3 ft long. It is really a hefty one, without doubt, and its sniper-like look is a significant reason it is popular.

Another blaster to leak on to shelves was the Deploy. This part flashlight part dart gun, is one of the first to transform from relatively harmless daily item in to a full blown dart flinging toy. Sure, there have been others that were sold in older days, that transformed, but these had been for the Transformers motion picture franchise, and each one altered from vehicles — not from household things like the flashlight.

Eventually that summer, it was announced that there would be 4 translucent special edition blasters launched to clear the path for the completely new mysterious one. These transparent releases were of the Maverick, Raider, Deploy, and Nite Finder. These ended up paving the way for the new Stampede. The Stampede is a full auto machine gun, that rather than being belt fed much like the Vulcan, is clip fed. This will make it much less prone to jam.

Now, while many considered that to be the end of what was likely to be revealed, there ended up being four or so more. There was no real notice in relation to these coming out. Instead, they kinda just popped out of nowhere, and fans immediately commenced getting the news out on the net. These brand new blasters are the Alpha Trooper, Barrel Break, Spectre, and now before christmas of 2010; the Barricade.

Having a total amount of 8 cutting edge designs of blasters out, and four special edition releases, Nerf addicts have a large selection of 12 altogether brand-new releases. Or perhaps, is it?

Hang on, would you guess it, I didn’t remember to add in the three red limited edition blasters, and also the three translucent green releases in the new Sonic Series. So, with those now added in, you will find 8 brand-new ones, and ten special editions, moving the grand total up to a enormous 18.

Now, naturally I may have missed some… as anyone would that has to dig through all the presuming junk out on the internet today. Anyhow, these eighteen really should be more than enough to keep you busy, maybe?
